National Open Records Gateway

Request the record. We help route it.

Start with the government body. Owner's Day Mark guides the rest — jurisdiction, agency, request details, receipt and follow-up — in one controlled process.

Start a request

A guided request, not a blank form.

Choose the jurisdiction, government level and agency first. ODM then carries those verified selections into the request.

Why no Agency ID field?ODM assigns the Agency ID from the verified agency you select. If an agency is not yet in the directory, the request is flagged for mapping instead of asking you to invent an ID.
How it works

Choose. Describe. Submit. Track.

1

Choose

Select the jurisdiction, government level and public body from controlled options.

2

Describe

Choose a record category and describe the identifiable records.

3

Submit

ODM assigns the internal routing ID, creates the authenticated receipt and routes where mapped.

4

Track & Share

Follow the request and optionally publish a sanitized certificate.

Private by default

Your request is not a marketing database.

Service messages needed to operate the request are separate from optional marketing consent. Private request text and requester identity are encrypted. Public certificates are sanitized projections.

Audit without exposure

ODM logs identifiers, actions and outcomes — not passwords, raw confidential payloads or attachment contents.

Governed deletion

Retention, legal holds, conflicts and derivative closure are evaluated before secure disposition can close.

Keep public access free

This free public service is supported by a no-charge technology grant from Pharavant Systems, LLC. Public giving is currently off.

Public giving is currently off; requests continue to be processed under the same service rules.
